Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmuş says that preparations by Turkish troops for fighting in northern Syria "are legitimate in light of the threat posed by the Kurdish forces in the region."
The comments were made in response to comments by the leader of the Kurdish militia YPG, who claimed that the Turkish forces fighting in the area were "preparing for war."
