President Rivlin decided Monday to leave former prime minister Ehud Olmert's punishment on the jail time he has already served and to grant him a pardon after he was released after serving two thirds of his sentence.
The president took into account Olmert's announcement that he would continue to comply with two of the conditions from the parole board's decision to release him which have remained undisclosed.
