Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara attended on Saturday the funeral of former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl.
The funeral took place at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France.
Netanyahu was asked to speak at the ceremony, but declined due to his observance of Shabbat (Sabbath).
German Chancellor Angela Merkel, former US President Bill Clinton, and French President Emmanuel Macron also attended the funeral.
