A report by the Israel Hayom newspaper reveals that a Turkish organization partly funded by the Turkish government invested in a project to transport half a million Israeli Arabs to the El-Aqsa mosque on Temple Mount in order to "protect against Israeli incursions and the threat to destroy the mosque."
The activists being transported to Temple Mount included thousands of members of the Muribatun and Murabitat, which are offshoots of the outlawed northern sector of the Islamic Movement in Israel. The GSS revealed that in return for their presence and agitating against Jews on Temple Mount, each one of the Murabitat and Murabiton received a monthly salary of 4500 NIS.
