Eighteen bus drivers from the Superbus bus company were held for investigation and their buses were taken off the road after serious safety defects were discovered on them.
The Police traffic department announced that the defects had been reported in the past to the company but it did not act to correct them. The drivers were released after investigation and three directors, a safety officer and the director-general were summoned for investigation
