Coalition Chairman David Bitan has told a news conference at Beit Sokolov in Tel Aviv that a disabled person's pension would increase to 4,000 shekels in two increments and then be comparable to the minimum wage.
The announcement comes against the background of yesterday's protest by the disabled near Ben-Gurion Airport, during which some of the demonstrators threatened to set themselves on fire.
