Prosecutors: Police will only look at Olmert's book

The State Prosecutor's Office made it clear on Sunday that in a search conducted by the police on the offices of the Yediot Ahronot publishing house, materials were taken from former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's book and not from other books, contrary to media reports.

Olmert is being investigated over the finding of sensitive materials used in the preparation of his memoirs, following a recent visit to his prison cell by an attorney. The prosecutors' office continued, "The police will produce from the computer materials, in the presence of representatives of the publishing house, only the material relating to the investigation in Olmert's case, and the rest of the materials will be returned to the publisher and no copy will be kept by the police. The police have coordinated a date for that with the representatives of the publishing house. The relevant material relating to Olmert will be transferred to the Director of Defense Security in order to express his opinion regarding its level of secrecy."
