The proposed Basic Law: Jerusalem Capital of Israel has been submitted to the Knesset Secretariat.
The law, promoted by Chairman Naftali Bennett of the Jewish Home party and Jewish Home Knesset-faction Chairwoman Shuli Mualem, will require a majority of 80 Knesset members to make any decision on the division of Jerusalem.
