Yair Shamir, the son of former premier Yitzhak Shamir, has retracted his candidacy for director of IAI(Israel Aircraft Industries).
Shamir took the decision after the Committee for Government Company Appointees demanded that he resign his position as director and co-manager of the Catalyst VC fund which he founded in 1999 as a condition for his appointment to the IAI directorship.
