The film "Wonder Woman," starring Israeli actor Gal Gadot, brought $100.5 million to its creators at the end of its first week in theaters in the United States and Canada. It's a new box-office record in North American for a movie directed by a woman. The film also brought in about $8 million in Britain.
Critics liked it too. The Chicago Tribune gave the film 3.5 stars out of 4.
