Police investigators arrived in Jerusalem's Mea Shearim neighborhood Sunday afternoon as part of a police investigation into the suspects who were arrested for assaulting men in uniform.
As soon as the detectives arrived, they were attacked by haredi-religious extremists who threw stones and other objects at them, burned dumpsters and pushed them towards the police while blocking roads to traffic. A policeman was hit in the head by a stone and was evacuated to hospital with light wounds.
