The Spokesman's Office of the Israel Defense Forces issued a statement, Thursday morning that said, "The call to kill soldiers and commanders in the IDF is serious incitement and crosses a red line. The IDF will continue to carry out its missions out of a commitment to the security of the state of Israel and its citizens."

The office was responding to a Channel 2 Television report about anonymous notices distributed in haredi neighborhoods of Jerusalem which call on inductees to the IDF to use the weapons they are issued to kill other soldiers and themselves if they are forced to serve.
