The founder of the Islamic State terror movement's Amak news agency, Rian Mashaal, was eliminated in an air attack led by the US-led coalition in northeastern Syria, according to a Facebook post by Mashaal's brother, cited by Reuters.

The post says Mashaal's daughter was also killed in the attack in the city of Al-Miyadin, in the Deir Ez-Zor district. No official has confirmed the report.
