Deputy Speaker of the Knesset Nava Boker discovered a letter this week in her mailbox in the Knesset building apparently addressed by journalist Erel Segal. When she opened the letter, she was amazed to find harsh curses and slanderous words that, among other things, accused her late husband of being responsible for his death and that of more than 40 others in the Carmel Fire disaster of 2010, according to Maariv.
The letter also takes the Likud lawmaker to task for her support of soldier Elor Azaria, who is appealing his 18-month sentence and manslaughter conviction for killing a wounded terrorist. Boker said she is relying on the Israel Police to locate the writer and bring him or her to justice.
