MK Nachman Shai(Zionist Union), the head of the Israel-US relations caucus, responded to US president Donald Trump's speech by saying that "Israel has been given a golden chance to promote a settlement between ourselves and the Palestinians. Trump provided Israel with all of the possible security guarantees so that it can feel confident in entering negotiations with the Palestinians."
"These guarantees are the key to Israel's future conduct. We must grab this opportunity with both hands, rely on the unflinching and durable support of the US to endeavor to reach a settlement which will ensure Israel's future as a Jewish-democratic state in secure borders," said Shai.
