An indictment was filed in the Ashkelon Magistrates Court on Sunday, charging an Ashkelon resident with stealing thousands of kilograms of fruit and vegetables from southern fields and selling them to greengrocers in the Ashkelon municipal market.

Evidence revealed that the suspect was selling his "merchandise" at a very low price, which caused economic harm to traders who would not buy them. It is believed that this pattern lasted a matter of months.
