Ahead of United States President Donald Trump's visit to Israel, hundreds of bereaved families whose loved ones were murdered in terror attacks in recent years have signed a letter calling on Trump to ensure that the Palestinian Authority stops the incitement and the payments it makes to convicted terrorists and their families. They also asked to meet with the president and express their pain.

According to the signatories, payments to terrorists and their families are part of the PA's incitement apparatus, which causes more and more young people to go out and commit acts of terror against Israelis. The bereaved families stressed, "As long as the PA transfers blood money to murderers of Israelis, there is no room for negotiations and talks with Israel." They said they can't "stand idly by when the American president, who promised to take a hard hand on terrorists, hints that he will press for the opening of talks between Israel and the PA, without expressing any intention to stop the incitement and the payments."
