Following reports of more than 6,000 cases of measles throughout Europe and the outbreak in several places in the United States and Australia,
the Ministry of Health recommends that all travelers abroad, including European countries, be vaccinated against measles according to the instructions on the Ministry of Health website.
Among the guidelines: A person born in Israel before 1957 is considered immune; A person who was born in Israel from 1958 to 1977 and did have measles, must complete the vaccine; A person born in Israel from 1978 onwards should be vaccinated in two doses at a time interval of at least 4 weeks between doses.
