Kol Yisrael radio aired its final news bulletin from the Israel Broadcasting Authority’s (IBA) studio in Jerusalem at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, after 81 consecutive years of broadcasting. Beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, the new public broadcaster, Kan, will take over Kol Yisrael’s radio stations.
At the conclusion of the broadcast, Kol Yisrael said, "Following the conclusion of the broadcasts of Kol Yisrael on IBA, we are handing the torch to Kan."
