A joint operation by police, Border Police and the Israel Defense Forces has resulted in the seizure of dozens of ancient coins, oil lamps, jewelry and Judaica in a house in the Hevron-area Palestinian Authority town of Beit Ula.

Archaeologists have estimated the exhibits from the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods and the Middle Ages at tens of thousands of dollars. A man in his fifties who owns the house was detained for questioning and will be brought to a military court on Thursday for the purpose of extending his detention.
