Fragments testifying to the fierce battles between the British army and the Ottomans in the Rosh Ha'ayin region during World War I have been excavated in an archaeological dig by the Antiquities Authority.
The relics included bullet cases, fragments of shells and other military items. Representatives of the Antiquities Authority showed the findings to the British Military Attache in Israel, Col. Ronny Westerman, and to the director of the World War I Heritage Association In Israel, Eran Tirosh.
