The Israel Electric Corporation said on Tuesday that due to the temperatures ranging from 31-41C/87-105F, electricity consumption is expected to increase on Tuesday and Wednesday, due to the assessment that cooling and air conditioning systems will be operated in homes and businesses.
In preparation for the summer, IEC has carried out extensive development and maintenance work in the production and electricity networks over the last few months, and mobile substations have been installed in areas where the increase in the use of electricity has been pronounced.
