In an operation initiated by the Israel Police in cooperation with the municipal police and the municipal veterinarian, a truck carrying open boxes filled with meat weighing about 950 kg was seized in Or Yehuda on Monday. The meat was placed in a manner not authorized to transport meat as required by law.
Later, a truck carrying 120 egg trays found to be unfit for human consumption was also seized. Police detained three suspects for questioning. Later on, a 100 kg of meat was found in a local restaurant, kept under poor conditions, which was not fit for human consumption. The meat was destroyed.
