Hebrew Book Week fairs, to be held in a month's time, will not take place this year in the periphery, but only in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Rishon Lezion, due to the cessation of support of the Hebrew Book Publishers' Association by the Ministry of Culture.
Amnon Ben-Shmuel, the association's director-general, told Israel Defense Forces Radio that he still hopes that the Ministry of Culture will respond to his requests and the fairs will be able to take place, but the ministry has yet to respond.
