US president Donald Trump tweeted tht it is an "honor" to host the head of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, at the White House, but the tweet was erased 13 hours later.
The original tweet included video footage from the meeting between the two and Trump's addition that "hopefully something terrific could come out of it between the Palestinians & Israel,” but it was later erased.
Trump does not usually erase tweets even when they contain contradictory statements and mistakes.
