The state submitted its opinion regarding Haifa Chemicals request to import more ammonia to refill the ammonia tanks in Haifa bay.
The state responded that the company had not fulfilled the conditions for bringing a renewed shipment of ammonia as it refused to commit to placing the economy's needs above its own. Moreover the company would not commit to use the ammonia only to fill supply tanks and not for creating fertilizer.
The state feels that ships should be allowed to arrive once or twice by the end of this month but should not be allowed to convey the 11,000 tons requested by the company.
