President Rivlin called on world leaders to act to return stolen Holocaust property to its rightful owners.
Rivlin said that "it is customary to say that crime doesn't pay. For many people the Holocaust crimes have paid. We cannot allow this. The property must be restored. We cannot forget that time is working against us and is running out.
"There are now less than 400,000 Holocaust survivors still alive, half in Israel and half scattered around the world. It is our duty to ensure their welfare."
