The winner of the World Bible Contest this year is Sagiv Lugasi, a resident of Maalot Tarshiha in the western Galilee, while the runnerup, Naomi Cohen, is a student of the Bnei Akiva Ulpana (girls' high school), a resident of the central-Galilee city of Tzfat.
Shlomo Helfgot of New Jersey placed third and Maria Spielwitz of Belarus came in fourth.
