Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenzkot of the Israel Defense Forces said on Tuesday, "I want to tell the parents of all the soldiers of the IDF that a wonderful generation has grown here in the State of Israel whom we meet every year in the IDF."
Speaking at an event held at the President's Residence, in which presidential medals of excellence are awarded to 121 soldiers, officers and non-commissioned officers, the lieutenant general continued, "We will make great efforts to carry out all the tasks that will be imposed on us and we will make great efforts to bring everyone home safe and sound."
