Amona rabbi Yair Frank has stated that "a birthday may be a joyous day but it is also a day of reflection just as the day the world was created is a day of judgment.
"Independence Day is therefore a day of national reflection over what occured this year, which according to Frank was not "to the glory of the State of Israel."
