Retired major-general Yom Tov Samia announced on Thursday that he has decided not to run in the primaries for the Labor Party, according to Maariv.
The former head of the Southern Command did not cite a specific reason in a statement in which he said, "I intend to continue (my) social and public-political action for the future of the state, the future generation and the love of the homeland. I believe and know that we will see each other later on."
