President Uri Zaki of the Meretz Party executive board demanded from Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon, Thursday, that a to the Honenu legal-aid organization under section 46 of the Income Tax Ordinance be stopped.
Zaki submitted the demand following a Wednesday-evening report by Channel 10 Television, citing Honenu documents that in 2015 it donated NIS 3,000 to the main defendant in the 2014 murder of Jerusalem teenager Mohammed Abu-Khdeir. Yosef Haim Ben David, who was convicted of leading the group that murdered the boy, was sentenced to life imprisonment and another 200 years.
