The Palestinian Authority has informed the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories that it will immediately stop paying Israel for the electricity it supplies to Gaza.
It should be noted that Israel supplies Gaza with electricity through 10 power lines that produce 125 megawatts, about 30% of the electricity required in Gaza. The cost of electricity consumption in Gaza is estimated at about NIS 40 million per month, which Israel deducts from tax transfers to the PA.
