The visit of Public Security Minister Gil'ad Erdan to the Bedouin community of Ar'ara to inaugurate a police station, will not take place in the end, according to Maariv. Chairman Naif Abu-Arar of the Ar'ara Council told the website, "After I was promised by the minister's office that the visit would also include an apology to the Bedouin population, and they even expressed their willingness for a visit by the minister in Umm Al-Hiran in order to apologize to the Abu Al-Qian family for his statements, they retracted - and therefore, because the minister is entrenched in his position, the visit is unnecessary."

Abu-Arar was referring to Erdan's using the words "terror attack" to describe Al-Quian's fatal running over of a policeman during protests against the destruction of illegal buildings in Umm Al-Hiran and Al-Quian's death at the hands of police.
