France's extreme right-wing leader Marine Le Pen told her supporters, Sunday, "Friends, you brought me to the second round," Le Pen said. "You have brought a great deal of honor, these results are historic, it is a great responsibility, and the French have to make that choice that will change the French policy on immigration and terrorism."
With 20 million ballots counted, Le Pen led with 24.38 percent of the vote, followed by Emmanuel Macron with 22.19 percent.
