Member of Knesset Tzipi Livni (Zionist Union) said, Sunday evening, "At a time when there is deliberate Holocaust denial in part of the world - and the other part "just" forgets what exactly was there - we must not only remember but also remind [people about] the Holocaust. Not only for the past and for us - but for the future of the entire world."

Speaking at the Holocaust Martyrs 'and Heroes' Remembrance Day ceremony at the Massuah Institute in Tel Yitzhak, the former opposition leader said, "When a leader uses gas to kill his people, when the world is confused and does not always know what to do in the face of evil and cruelty, we are the ones who need to mention the Holocaust. Not only for the past and for us - but for the future of the entire world. So that the global commitment of "never again" created immediately after the dimensions of the horror became known - will remain in force and be engraved in the consciousness of all peoples. We need to remind [people] that silence against horrors is not an option."
