A viral video online shows a Jewish darbuka player sporting a large Kippah with a large Arab crowd dancing to his music at a Palestinian village near Gush Etzion. Who is behind the video?
Drummer Yoni Sharon, a resident of Kfar Eldad in Gush Etzion, says he was on his way back from a performance one night when he heard rhythmic Arab music from the El-Furidis village nearby and decided to enter. Sharon knows members of the village who work in his community and speaks with them in Arabic and volunteered to play at the wedding party.
