The Syrian government transferred most of its fighter jets to protect them from another American attack and deter the United States from attacking the regime, according to US security sources cited on Wednesday by the Cable News Network.
The transfer of the planes to an airport sharing its facilities with the Russian army, began shortly after the US attacked a Syrian air force base in response to the deaths of Syrians in a chemical attack attributed to the Damascus government.
