The police report that a winter system that includes a depression in the southern Judean desert, the southern Arava and surrounding areas is expected to enter the area of Eilat and the nearby hilly areas. In addition, there is a risk of flooding along the paths and streams adjacent to these areas near Route 90.
Police and the volunteers of the police rescue units are prepared for weather conditions and are on standby to provide a response if necessary. At the same time, the police recommend that people refrain from hiking and sleeping in these areas due to the expected flooding.
