Former GSS(Shabak) head Yoram Cohen referred to the investigation into the torching of an Arab home in the Samarian village of Duma and said that "in light of the need to prevent future terror which would have led to a bloodbath for Jews living in Judea and Samaria, these procedures [special methods of investigation] saved lives."
