Dr. Ronen Shoval, founder of the Im Tirtzu Zionist movement, apologized on Monday to Member of Knesset Tzipi Livni (Zionist Union) over a video he put out in 2015 during his campaign for the primaries of the Jewish Home party. Writing on the Twitter social network, Dr. Shoval said, "Tzipi Livni, in 2015 during the primaries of the Jewish home, I produced a disgusting and disgusting film against you, I beg your pardon and forgiveness. My behavior was not appropriate." When asked why he chose to apologize just now, Shoval explained "Someone sent me a link. I saw it and was ashamed of my behavior."

Livni's tweet of response was not long in coming. "I appreciate the apology. There will be mercy for one who confesses and leaves [bad behavior]. I hope that all the discourse in Israeli society, even during disagreements, will be respectful."
