Chief Executive Officer Moshe Weidberg of the Hashachar Ha'oleh (Rising Dawn) has thanked the people of Israel for their vocal support, following an article in Haaretz that called on the public to boycott the company's famous chocolate spread because of the company's contributions of tens of thousands of shekels to Jewish communities beyond the 1949 Armistice Line.
Many people have gone on social media to say they would, in fact, buy Hashachar products but Weidberg told Arutz Sheva that it was too early to tell if there has been an increase in sales.
