Member of Knesset Amir Peretz, who is running for the leadership of the Labor Party, has sent a letter to Britain's Labour Party Chairman Jeremy Corbun in which he expressed shock at Corbyn's continued refusal to visit the Yad Vashem Holoaust memorial institution in Jerusalem.
Translated from the Hebrew, "Perhaps your refusal stems from the problem of personal identity, which clashes with the world of universal values in general and social democracy in particular, Perhaps it's the result of political opportunism of the lowest kind, which deters you from facing anti-Semitic elements in public, especially within your party, including the harsh statements by former London mayor Ken Livingstone. It may also stem from a lack of understanding of contemporary anti-Semitism."
