The National Labor Court has allowed the Histadrut Labor Federation and port workers the right to strike. The ruling came in the wake of a Histadrut petition, noting no breakthrough in the negotiations regarding the job security of port workers, specificly second generation workers.

Court President Yigal Flitman determined that the state must sit in intensive negotiations on the burning issues and if there are no agreements, including on the question of job security, the Histadrut has the right to strike.
