MK Tzipi Livni (Zionist Union) responded to the Cabinet's decision to establish a new community for the residents of Amona.
"A new settlement for Amona did not arise out of pain over the evacuation, but because some families forced a settlement in a place that was meant to prevent us from separating from the Palestinians, reach an agreement and preserve Israel as a Jewish state," Livni said.
