The Jerusalem District Court has convicted 22-year-old Baha 'Awisat of Jerusalem's Jabel Mukaber neighborhood of attempted murder and possession of a knife.
According to the indictment, in October 2015, the terrorist went to the city's Nof Zion neighborhood in order to carry out a stabbing attack, but a policeman who passed through the area suspected him and asked him to identify himself. He tried to stab the policeman but other policemen prevented him from doing so.
