The Ichilov Medical Center in Tel Aviv reported, Tuesday morning, that an 82-year-old woman died after surgery to replace her hip joint.
During the operation, a central blood vessel was damaged as a result of a very rare complication. Despite efforts that lasted more than eight hours, doctors were forced to pronounce her death.
