Chairman Zahava Galon of the Meretz party petitioned the Supreme Court against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Attorney General Avihai Mandelblit on Monday, seeking to set up a conflict of interests agreement that would prevent them from dealing with communications in general and public broadcasting in particular.
According to Gal-On, "Netanyahu continues to intervene in the affairs of the [new public broadcasting] corporation and the media law in full force, despite his conflicts of interest with most of the media, including serious and substantial criminal suspicions."
