The District Labor Court in Tel Aviv has accepted a claim filed by a candidate for the position of manager of a telemarketing center at the Il Makiage company for discrimination due to her being pregnant.

The manager of the company's network of beauty colleges told the woman she would not be hired shortly after her third interview, when she told the company that she was in her ninth week of pregnancy. The court awarded her 70,000 shekels plus 15,000 in legal fees.
