The bill for reform in maternity leave of MK Rachel Azariya was approved today in the Knesset in second and third readings.
Within the framework of the reform, an additional paid week of leave will be given: either 15 weeks total for the mother or 14 weeks for the mother and 1 joint week for both the parents, to be enacted at any point during the period. The law applies to births starting from January 1, 2017.
